How saved trips, browser preferences and optional analytics use information.

What is stored and why
My trip uses server storage so that the same signed-in account can open its places and itinerary on another device. Account-linked travel information is not anonymous merely because you did not enter your name.
- Account identifier
- An identifier provided by the sign-in service links a trip to the correct account. The trip database does not have separate name, email, phone, password or payment-card fields.
- Places and accommodation
- Saved places, accommodation names and addresses, regions, and check-in and check-out dates that you enter.
- Itinerary
- Day names and dates, ordered stops, times, transfer starting points and destinations, and text you enter in itinerary notes.
- Save records
- The latest update time and a revision number used to avoid overwriting changes from another tab.
Do not enter passport numbers, payment details or sensitive personal information in accommodation or itinerary notes.
Editing, removal and retention
- Use My trip to edit or remove saved places, accommodation and itinerary entries. A successful save updates the current server copy.
- There is currently no automatic expiry for saved trips. Removing every item does not remove the account identifier or save record from the database. A complete account-data deletion function is not yet provided.
- Closing the page, signing out or clearing your browser does not delete the server copy. PDFs and printed copies remain under your control.
Language preference on this device
When you open the main website address without a language in the URL, we use your browser’s first preferred language: Korean opens Korean; other languages open English. A link with /en/ or /ko/ keeps that language.
If you use the language button, we remember only your choice (en or ko) in this browser’s local storage for future visits to the main address. It is not linked to your account or sent to the trip database. Use the language button to save a different choice. To use automatic language selection again, clear this site’s stored data in your browser. If browser storage is unavailable, language links still work but the choice may not be remembered.
Optional website analytics
On the public website, Google Analytics 4 starts only after you allow optional analytics. Before you allow, or if you reject, our integration does not load the Google analytics tag or send analytics requests. You can change or withdraw your choice using “Analytics choices” in the footer. Withdrawing reloads the page to stop an already loaded tag.
- Purpose and recipient: Google receives public guide page views and its standard session information to measure website use. The integration sends the public page address without search parameters or section fragments, the fixed page title, a cookie-based browser identifier and technical browser, device and connection information. It sends no referring-page address. Browser identifiers mean this collection is not anonymous.
- My trip, destination search and personalized route-result pages are excluded. Our integration does not send account identifiers, search terms, location coordinates, accommodation entries or itinerary notes. Advertising storage, ad personalization, Google Signals and User-ID are disabled; enhanced measurement and outbound-click tracking are also disabled.
- Your allow or reject choice is stored only in this browser for up to 180 days, separately from your signed-in account. Analytics cookies use the ezkt_ga prefix and have a maximum 180-day lifetime without automatic renewal. Withdrawing removes these site analytics cookies and stops future collection; it does not automatically delete information already received by Google. If browser storage is blocked, your choice may last for this page only.
Location for nearby weather
When you press “Use my location”, the home page asks for browser location permission to choose the nearest supported Korean weather region. Your coordinates are compared with map data on your device and are not sent to our server or the weather provider. We do not store your coordinates or link them to your account. You can refuse permission and choose a region yourself; Seoul is the default before a location is available or when you are outside Korea.
Only a location-attempt flag is kept in this tab’s session storage to avoid repeating a failed or refused request. It lasts for the tab session. Use “Use my location” to try again after changing the browser permission, and manage the permission in your browser’s site settings.
Visited-city map
When you mark a city as visited on the Korea map, we store only that city’s guide identifier in this browser’s local storage. The record is not linked to your account or sent to our server. We do not collect your location, travel dates or proof that you visited the city.
Use “Clear visit record” on the map to remove every saved city from this browser. Clearing this site’s browser data also removes the record. If browser storage is unavailable, a choice may remain only while the page is open.
Location for nearby subway stations
The station finder requests browser location permission only when you press “Find stations near me”. It compares your coordinates with the station directory and country map on your device to show stations within 25 km, ordered by approximate straight-line distance. These distances are not walking routes or travel times.
Your coordinates are not sent to our server, a rail operator or a map service, and are not added to URLs or browser storage. The location comparison runs for that request only. Search terms, filters and any station you select may appear in the page URL; your coordinates do not. Changing the search or filters cancels the nearby search. You can refuse permission and search by name, and manage permission in your browser’s site settings.
External services and browser requests
- Opening a map or directions link sends the selected search text, starting point or destination to that map service. A saved accommodation address may be included. Check the link before sharing it.
- Booking links open the external booking service, which handles the details you provide there under its own policy. Affiliate links also contain referral identifiers.
- Some photos load directly from external sources. Loading them creates browser requests to those providers, including technical information such as your IP address, even without clicking a link.
- Destination searches run in your browser. Search terms can appear in page URLs, browser history and shared links. Optional website analytics is described separately above. Hosting and sign-in services may use their own cookies and access logs.
Privacy requests and contact
The contact for access, correction, deletion and processing-restriction requests has not yet been configured. Editing saved content is available in My trip; a formal request channel still needs to be established.
Items still to be confirmed
The processing basis and retention period; deletion procedures and backup retention; the actual privacy contact; hosting and sign-in providers, processing locations, subcontracting and any overseas transfers; and provider cookie and log practices must be verified and reflected in the final policy. A written notice alone does not implement these controls.
