Does this list cover rest areas on every road in South Korea?

No. It includes all 215 entries in the Korea Expressway Corporation rest-area facilities web list checked on 2026-10-14. It is not a total of every facility on privately operated expressways and national roads, or all drowsy-driver rest stops in South Korea. Separately listed directional branches count as separate entries.

Should I check the travel direction even when rest areas have the same name?

Yes. Directional entries are kept separate as in the official list. A name without a direction in parentheses is not automatically labeled as shared by both directions. Even a shared building can have separate vehicle entrances and exits; do not assume you can turn around into the opposite direction.

Are the maps, prices and opening hours live information?
