Namhae is an island county where winding shores, mountains and villages face the sea. Daraengi Village’s terraced fields reflect generations of farming on steep slopes, while the German Village tells the story of Koreans who returned after working in Germany. Boriam Hermitage’s rocky mountain setting and the pale sands of Sangju Eunmorae Beach reveal contrasting sides of the landscape. Anchovy ssambap, served with rice and leaf wraps, brings local seafood to the table.

THE QUICK ANSWER

How can I explore Namhae without losing my way back?

Arrive at Namhae Public Bus Terminal, choose one coastal area or the Boriam access trip, and confirm both directions before leaving. German Village, Daraengi, Boriam and Sangju are separate stops; they do not share one simple direct bus.

ONE NIGHT, TWO DAYS

Build a trip your transport can support

These are suggested clusters, not a timed tour or reservation. Confirm opening, transfers and the return bus before combining them.

Without a car

Day 1: arrive at the terminal, check into your base and visit German Village if the outbound and return connections fit. Day 2: choose Daraengi OR the Boriam access trip after checking the return to the terminal.

Use fewer stops if buses are infrequent. Ask your stay to arrange a pickup if the last service does not fit.

Rental car or arranged taxi

Day 1: German Village and the east coast. Day 2: choose a mountain-and-beach day (Boriam + Sangju) or a southwest-coast day around Daraengi. Compare the driving legs before adding both coasts.

Confirm parking, mountain transfers and your return-car or taxi conditions. Leave time for the intercity departure.

YOUR VISIT, CONNECTED

Plan the visit, and the way back

01

Arrive at the right place

Choose the entrance or a single stop in the official guide first. A regional or trail name is not a boarding or arrival point.

02

Eat & choose a base

Map results can include distant businesses. Check the walking or driving journey to a restaurant before choosing it. For a stay, compare arrival access and the evening return.

03

Return or move on

Check the last service on every leg before leaving. The return stop may be across the road or at another entrance.

No car, late finish, rain, luggage or access needs?

Without a car

Start with one cluster of places. Check bus direction, the return stop and the last departure before adding another area.

Bus booking & payment

Late finish or cancelled service

Keep your stay address ready. Ask for a pickup quote and return arrangement; a map route does not confirm taxi availability.

Taxi options

Rain or a closed attraction

Check the operator before departing, then choose another nearby place. Keep any return booking in mind when changing the day.

Other places in this region

Bags, children or step-free access

Confirm lift access, slopes, toilets and the exact drop-off with the venue. Do not infer accessibility from a map or photograph.

STAYS

Places to Stay

Look at accommodation locations around your destination. Confirm room availability, prices and booking terms with the property.

Four areas to compare

  • Namhae-eup / terminal — Bus arrivals and early departures; coastal attractions need another journey.
  • Samdong / German Village — An east-coast base. Check dinner and the last connection before staying away from the terminal.
  • Sangju Beach — For a beach stay; not served by the published Ttubuki loop. Check the actual local bus or pickup.
  • Nam-myeon / Daraengi — For the southwest coast. Ask the host about slopes, bags and a precise pickup point.

Editorial comparison based on the county transport and attraction guides; individual accommodation is not inspected.

Choose a base that fits your transport

  • Near an arrival station or terminal: compare the walk with luggage, late check-in and your departure journey.
  • Near an attraction: check dinner options and the evening return before booking a remote stay.
  • With a rental car: confirm parking, access roads and the actual check-in entrance with the property.
